About Emmy Squared Pizza: Upper West Side

With our first location in Williamsburg Brooklyn in 2016, Emmy Squared Pizza is part of the Pizza Loves Emily family of restaurants, co-founded by Emily Hyland and executive chef Matthew Hyland, with partners Howard Greenstone and Ken Levitan. Offering quality ingredients and deliciously unique toppings, our signature Detroit-style pizza is marked by its square shape, crispy bottom, fluffy dough, cheesy "frico" crust, and signature sauce stripes.

Emmy Squared Pizza: Upper West Side is a pizza restaurant in New York, New York. It is listed at 200 W 60th St, New York, NY 10023, which places it among the local businesses of New York that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 4–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Emmy Squared Pizza: Upper West Side at (929) 989-3669; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 505 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in New York.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but some experiences deserve to be recognized and the hospitality my family received at Emmy Squared Pizza on the Upper West Side is one of them. I first discovered this location in early spring because my son had swimming lessons nearby every Saturday morning. What started as a quick pizza stop after swimming quickly became one of our favorite weekly traditions. Before long, Nicole and the team knew our order, remembered our favorite table, and welcomed us like family. My oldest son is autistic, and routine and familiarity are incredibly important to him. The way they consistently made him feel comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely special meant more to me than I can ever properly explain. Over time, Nicole became so much more than just a friendly face at a restaurant. We would talk about life, my family, and everything happening in between swimming lessons and pizza. During a particularly difficult time for our family, including the loss of my children’s grandfather, her kindness and warmth gave me a sense of comfort I didn’t even realize I needed. It honestly felt like an unexpected therapy session in the middle of our Satu

FOOD: the food here is absolutely amazing. I started my meal off with a chopped wedge salad, which was a healthy portion, followed by a meat, lovers pizza, and loaded waffle fries. The portions for the price were incredible and the quality of all of the ingredients were on point. HAPPY HOUR: I was here for happy hour. They have five dollar beers seven dollar wines and nine dollar cocktails ( as long as the cocktail is not shaken or stirred…weird distinction) ATMOSPHERE: high ceilings with a lot of great low lighting. This is a corner restaurant so there are massive windows lining the walls to get great natural light inside the space. The decor was very modern and dark, but I appreciated the fake plants throughout the space that made the restaurant feel alive. STAFF: the staff was very friendly and helpful in making decision with our order. They were prompt about filling water. We never had to wait for anything we needed. this location is only steps away from Lincoln Center making it a great pre-or Post show meal. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying more food from this restaurant.

One of the best square pizzas I have had. The MVP pizza is a must try! The base is crisp but the top is soft and warm. The sauce is super fresh. The service is fast and they have outdoor seating too. The menu is a mix of vegetarian and meat options. One of the unique pizzas and definitely recommended!

Great spot for Detroit style pizza. I had a Cesar salad and just a pepperoni pizza. The salad was delicious and good amount. The pizza was really good just felt that it is a little expensive based on the serving size and the amount of pizza options in the city but still a solid pizza to try.

The staff were very friendly and informative. Founder’s pizza was pretty goodβ€” rather spicy, and you taste the honey, but it’s not overpowering or anythingβ€” balanced flavors. Sweater Weather mocktail is WONDERFULβ€” passion fruit heaven
